How to set up a RECURRING ORDER: It might change your life
Our online store, which many of you know and love, has a lot of handy options when it comes to placing and updating your orders. The tool we’re going to explore today is one some of you already use. For others, it is about to blow your mind! Two words: Recurring orders.
“What is a recurring order?” one might ask. A recurring order automatically orders select items for you each week. After placing the initial recurring order, customers don’t need to add that item to their carts in any following weeks; it will automatically be added to their cart.
Let me give you an example. “Jane,” who (hypothetically) orders at Mokena, sets up a recurring order for one dozen eggs. Her screen might look like this. Jane clicks on the product name.
Jane has two options: “recurring” or “one time.” She clicks plus one under recurring.
Jane now has one dozen eggs in her cart, AND she has set up a recurring order, so every week she will automatically have one dozen eggs in her cart and she will not have to add them herself!
We can now see the contents of Jane’s cart. Jane can also add a one time order for eggs, but only the recurring egg order will automatically repeat each week.
Note 1: If your usual pickup location is biweekly or monthly, you can still set up a recurring order. The products will only be ordered for the pickup weeks, not the off weeks.
Note 2: If at any time you want to cancel or reduce the recurring order, just click on the product name again and click the minus button under “recurring.”
Edit April 7: Note 3: Due to our order minimum of $30, the TOTAL COST of all your recurring products needs to equal or exceed $30.
Recurring orders can be an extremely helpful tool if you are constantly rushing to get your order in last minute and accidentally forget to add important things to your cart! One thing to be aware of: don’t forget about your recurring orders because you could end up ordering way more products than you intend. Depending on the product, however, that wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing!
